Dear All,
I have uploaded an introductory ppt on EVR Periyar, a revolutionery rationalist who was instrumental in getting verious social evils eradicated in the southern part of this country. Being staunch believer of humanitarian principles and equality he had fought against the inequal social system and questioned the myth of various supersitous practices.
I was unable to get more information on him in the net, hence created a new thread, welcoming all like minded(Opposing too) to give more and more inputs about him.
It is not an attempt to undermine an ideology or principle or offend some one, it is only an initiative to spread and share message of this legandary leader .

Nice posting.. Even in Tamilnadu, people are thinking that EV.Ramasamy is a person against god but he opposed the fakers and the fake practises by the name of God. He is not with us now but lot of followers are following his words..

I understand it is tough to put together Periyar in few slides, he was the father of community drinking water distribution through taps. Since harijans were not allowed to the use of village well, he connected them with taps and took the water to them. True revolutionary.
