Hello,
Just wanted to know abotut pf calculation, is it calculated on basis of total no. of working days in a month like we do in ESIC deduction? Or is it always calculated on the basis if 30/31 days for a month?

Dear Yash,
First your salary will be taken into account. Here subject to ceiling (Rs.15000) is statutory and beyond ceiling is optional. This ceiling salary or actual salary, as the case may be, will be multiplied by attendance which will be divided by total number of days in that month. 12% of the said amount will be credited to EPF.

Dear Mr.Abbas,
Can you please elaborate how do we calculate monthly PF of employees on the basis of monthly attendance. I am basically from T&D department but willing to get into generalist profile so if you could help me to understand the complete process in details .
It would be good if you could cite example for monthly PF Calculation based on attendance .
