Dear All, I have a query regarding PF contribution, let have an example
Below is a salary/increment details of X employee in ABC (third party) hired in a company thru third party.
Basic Salary-43716
HRA-17484
Conveyance-19200
Telephone Allowance-4800
Special Allowance-74844
Local Conveyance-12000
Employer's Contribution To PF-18552
ESIC-8184
Total Annual CTC=198780
Dear Alls,
I want to know that in gross ctc, employer's contribution to PF added, is it legal or illegal?
as far as I know employee's and employer's contribution should be equally shared for PF, but here in this case, company giving CTC (with addition of PF contribution from employer) how justifed it is?
request you to kindly guide/advise on the case at earliest.

Hi,
This has been already discussed in previous topics and members shared their views. What ever employer spend for employees were added in the CTC. It is an tactics used by employer. It is wrong if it is added in the gross salary of employee.

Dear Friend, Your CTC correctly calculated by an employer and CTC stand for (Cost to Company), Whatever employer paying to employee that all comes under CTC. (PF, ESIC,Graduity,Bonus...)

Dear Friend,
Please understand the difference of Gross and CTC.
Add your all components ( Gross = Basic +HRA+Conveyance+Telephone All+Special Allowances+Local Conveyance)
CTC = Gross + Employer contribution
In your case your gross amount is = 172044 ( monthly 14,337)
