The company I am working for was incorporated in mid 2011, however we only commenced operations in February 2012. We are in the food & beverage business- quick service restaurants. Are we supposed to give any bonus? Would appreciate a reply. Thank you.

Hi,
Most of the MNC companies give bonus to employees in Diwali festival based on company net profit during the financial year.
As per the bonus act ammendment 2010, employees whose Basic salary will below or equal to Rs.10,000/- are eligible to get bonus.
And employee has worked in the establishment for not less than thirty working days in that year.
(For Prerna) No need to give bonus for diwali 2012.
