The current pandemic has resulted in extreme decisions to be taken. I am aware of the government notifications but the fiscal status of the company does not permit salary payment to all. Hence we are thinking of proposing to our employees either to divide the total earnings with all (reduced salary) or will need to ask a few to go on LWP. My qs is, if it becomes a mutual decision is it better to treat the salary reduction as LWP (let's say for 50% paycut means 50% days of LWP) or work on the salary structure (keeping basic intact).
