Hi, Please throw light on recruitment revenue issue.
One of my friend is working in recruitment consultancy. That is new set up and having only two employees as recruiter.
He has been given target of Rs. 4 lac in one month. That means with the help of one recruiter who is just fresher not trained he has to generate revenue of Rs. 4 lac. and also has to do Business Development for that Recruitment Consultancy. And Every month they will have to double it.
Is it possible? Is the kind of target and work load is given to him achievable?
According to my opinion it is not possible. Please give suggestions so that i could pass on to him.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi vandana,
i think it all depends on the profile of ur freind who is been given this work. because unless some is experienced and handled recruitments, the consultancy wont' be giving them such targets. its not difficult for a person to do so, if he has sound database and profiles of candidates.
regards.

Hi, Its simly impossible Vandana. Even today well trained Recruiters are not able to achieve Rs. 2 Lacs target with Business Development, expecting same from freshers is nothing but a rubbish thing.
I have own Management Consultancy & above thing is based on my personal exprience.
Deepak is right as well.

Really his boss might be from Sales and Marketing( Insurance) beacuse these guys talk unethical and unpragmatic concepts( DCRs,Funnel Reports) many more.
HR has nothing to do with this.Mostly Insurance guyss opening Consultancy having these notions.

It’s absolutely unfair but once in blue moon if any recruiter achieves such unrealistic target that does not mean you set up such target forever. Normally in consultancy firm the target is vary from 4 to 10 times of the salary being paid to recruiter. I strongly advise your friend to change job with another professionally managed recruitment firm. Many of the recruitment firm strait away gives 20%-30% of the revenue. If your friend is capable of achieving 4 lac per month probably he would earn anything between 80K to 120k per month. Any way this is my personal opinion which others may differ it.

i trhink that ur friend don't think that what target they r going to give him he must have to think over it and leave the job immediately since he have to leave it cause at afresher level achiveing a target of 4 lac rs in a month is a very difficult task.

I accept with deepak, your friend should know the knowledge abt the company and the job profile before getting into the job. Its absolutely his mistake for taking such job.

Hi Vandana,
Pl check if your friend was asked to handle positions like CEO, GM and other senior most profiles. Why b'coz such targets suit only the firm which caters to these profiles.
But 4 lac is possible in firms taking care of executive search.
But being a fresher i do not agree a target of 4 lacs.
So pl as him to quit that greedy firm.

Hi, The target given is impossible to achieve it is better to look out for another job or make the employer understand about the whole issue. regards, nandini
