Dear all
Currently I am working as an Hr Sr. executive in an IT company, I have around 3 years of experience and I am doing good in my current job, but corporate world never passionate me as teaching is my hobby and I had a passion for it.
After completing my MBA I was not able to find a career in Teaching so I joined corporate but now I want to opt teaching as my career. Is it possible to switch in Acedemic, if yes then then how to proceed?
Therefore my request to all seniors in this forum is to please guide me how to prepare for an interview when one is not from the teaching background and what are the question that I expect while going for an interview.
Its a kind request to all those who are in same profession(teaching) and suggestion from all members of citehr forum.

Hello Aarna,
There's nothing wrong in making a mid-career switch, as long as one has BOTH the passion for the new role AND the aptitude/capability for it.
Coming to your query, focus on the PLUS aspects of what you can bring to the table in the teaching line. Usually practicing HR people make good Faculty professionals--provided they have the aptitude for teaching--since they can bring real-life situations into their teaching. And HR being all about practice of the human relation principles, it will help you.
Maybe you can begin by doing part-time assignments even while applying for full-time roles in private colleges. This could give you some exposure to the actual way to teach--since knowing something is one thing & teaching it is altogether something else [not all people can do both].
All the Best.
