Dear Colleague,

Referring to the above post :

As far as my knowledge goes the mater of ESI for Construction workers is pending before Honorable SC of India in the year 2018. Any recent updates on this important subject happened post to that. If so kindly share to all for benefit of understanding. I enclose an attachment on the subject from ESIC in the year 2018. Hope the status is still maintained. You may check with ESIC for further updates.

Thank you everyone for the valued comments and sharing. I presume then that taking insurance through EC act will be the option for the construction workers Regards

Dear Members
Is there any exemption of BOCW act for low income group (only ground floor) houses under PMAY
Further, I understand that in Maharashtra state, Labour contract licence is applicable if a contractor has more than 50 employees. Is it the same case in Tamil Nadu also or TN need contract licence if employee count is more than 20

Apologies for my lack of knowledge

Expect the expert opinion

Regrads
