Dear Mr Dipil
This is with reference to your observation pertaining to Mr Munna Bhosale's presentation on Cholesterol.
The presentation is very complete and is sufficient for the non medics.
We must know what is Cholesterol - These are fats/ Fatty Acids/ Triglycerides and produced by liver during process of digestion and other major contributors are our diets.
Main role of fats is to provide energy and glow to our body. Despite carbohydrates are the main source of energy to body there is significant requirement of fats too. Given the present life style of people which more so of sedentary and people resorting to less of physical activity ; it is advisable that less of fats should be consumed since fats require much time and physical work to get metabolised and on metabolisation it liberates much more energy compared to carbs.
Presentation has rightly mentioned about the good and bad cholesterol. it also says about the things rich in good and bad cholesterol and also why good cholesterol is good and bad one bad.
Other than this what people should know is the levels of cholesterol in the blood serum.
The borderline of cholesterol is avoid excess of fat and people over 35 years should undergo periodic serum cholestrol levels checkup because it is a very silent killer and if early high levels are noted then it can be very helpful in bringing it to normal level and also modifying lifestyle.
