Dear Seniors, Our company has applied for a Labour license for 20 labors under the contract labor act, but we might have to deploy 5-10 labors in addition to 20 labors.
So my query is how can we go about for the remaining 5-10 labors to get themselves included in the labor license, still as of the date we have not received the labor license, we just have the applied application. Request to share your valuable knowledge.

Dear Prashant,
Labour license is required by contract labour and principal employer is required to get registration under contract labour act,1970.
As explained above we are labour contractor ,we need more labours as the work has to get completed before time and also the work load has increased..

Dear Mr. Vikram,
You can add the 5-10 workers in licence by Paying the extra fee + Deposit with registering Authority ( In Pune it is ALC ) thereby you can amend the licence.

There is no need to fill ther form IV but you have to amend the form VI - Licence.
In Pune - Maharashtra
Form VI + Deposit Fee ( Challan ) + Fee + Application for amend the Form VI is suffice.

you have mentioned that you just applied and yet to get the licence. in that case approch the licencing authority to ammend/ change the application.
if the licence copy is ready you can go for amendment with remitting necessary fees

You can increase the number of persons in the Application pending before the Authorities.
If License is issued already, then you can increase the number by filing an application for
an amendment of addition of numbers. In the meantime, you need not worry-you can engage
the required number.

If you are a Principal Employer and employing 20 contract labourers directly,then there is no need of licence. But Registration certificate has to be obtained compulsorily. But if these labourers are employed thro contractor, then the contractor has to obtain Labour Licence even though he is engaging 5 to 10 labours presently.
