Can any one please confirm the procedure for filling up of SC/ST/OBC Reservation Roster which is an essential factor in the Recruitment process in PSU.
For example : say 15 vacancies had been sanctioned for 2007-08. Say the Roster point are (8 UR, 2 SC,2St,3 OBC) out of this 2UR (Roster point No. 14, & 15) remained vacant due to non availability of candidates.
Subsequently 15 vacancies sanctioned for 2009-10. The composition of roster points from 16 - 30 is (8 UR, 1 SC, 2 ST and 4 OBC).
What should be the roster point for the 2nd recruitment for 2009-10?
I think this concept is not clear to many recruitment professionals of PSUs, including myself. A clarification in this matter should be of great help.

You are operating vacancy based roster which has since been closed w.e.f.2/07/97.From 2/7/97 onwards post base roster is in operation.You have roster points as per sanctioned strength of a particular cadre, not more not less.Say, you have 20 sanctioned post in a cadre then you can have only 20 roster points of which pt.no.7,15,20 is reserved for SC,pt.no.14 for ST,and pt. no.4,8,12,16,19 for OBC.Say a vacancy occured at roster pt. no.5,15 and 16 which are earmarked for UR,SC & OBC respectively then it has to be replaced by persons of same category only.
