Normally Asst commissioner of Labour of the area is the licencing officer under the CLA. You may check with the office of the commissioner of Labour. R R Kapoor Vadodara

The office on whose signature CLR & A registration of your establishment has been done is the authority to issue license for the contractor. Hope you got the answer. In general the DLO is the authority to issue license.

Normally, Asst.Labour Commisssioner, or Dy.Labour Commisssioner. However, in some places even Asst.Labour Offier can also become the Licensing authority.

This has to be notified by State Labour Commissioner or Regional Labour commissioner, as the case may be. In most cases, the Assistant Labour Commissioner has been notified by state commissioners.

Dear
The licensing authority is determined by the industry classification.
If your industry falls under the purview of the Central Ministry, you must register with the Assistant Labour Commissioner (C) alternatively with the Deputy Labour Commissioner of the respective state.
I assume your business manufactures tea boxes and thus falls under the jurisdiction of the State Licensing Authority.

Suresh
