Dear member,

The purpose of a group discussion in the recruitment process is to assess a candidate's ability to communicate effectively, work well in a team, and demonstrate leadership and problem-solving skills. It also allows the employer to observe the candidate's personality, attitude, and ability to work under pressure. The group discussion helps the employer to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates and make an informed decision about their suitability for the role.

However, the interviewing panel or recruiters do not give feedback to the candidate. They assess the performance of the candidates. Therefore, would you confirm why do you wish to give feedback to the candidates?

The assessment of the candidates can be done on the following parameters:

a) Language fluency
b) Clarity of thought
c) Sequence in which thoughts are presented
d) Ability to give supporting examples
e) Body language, manners and etiquette
f) Listening skills
g) Did the candidate exhibit team spirit?
h) Did the candidate come up with creative solutions?

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar

The feedback form questions will be based on what was discussed at the group meeting.

None of us here on CiteHR were at that meeting, so we are not in a position to provide suggestions.

You know what you were trying to achieve with the group discussion, so base your feedback form around those objectives, along with asking for suggestions for improvement for future events.
