We have started weekly meeting esply on Friday where we discuss the problems - which we are facing and seek ideas and opinions from all.
This has helped to gather approaches/ideas from different perspectives!.

Dear Rajat,

In our organization we considered innovation and creativity as our Company Values.

We have made laminated cards which gives brief about these values along with other two. Total 4 values are as: -

1. Innovation & Creativity

2. Learn & Focus.

3. Make somebody's day (Build teams and relationships)

4. Spread optimism & enjoy whatever you are doing

we give these small pocket size cards to all new joinee at the time of induction and told them to make practice the same, since they are part of performance appraisal system. Hence form day one of joining, they started implementing those values.

We have kept 10 marks for making suggestions / ideas and we ask them to implement also at their level to check the results / outcomes, which also helped us to gather major data about our practices and processes which may becoming outdated. (Otherwise everyone makes suggestion for others rather than implementation)

In same context we also give awards for successful implementation of these ideas during our annual conference whereby all top management people are present. (Recognition from TOP).

We normally concentrate on daily systems and process which can be improved with latest scenario and technology.

Since there many incidents from making cross functional teams for conducting major events (where the manager had left) till daily attendance format, we have got good success and also it helped in bonding of employees with HR dept.

Brilliant input..how do you ensure these don;t fizzle out ?..do you involve the senior staff as well..many times the initiatives of the juniors fail to take off on account of support of seniors who give more emphasis to routine work to be done than encourage these ideas.

Dear Rajat,
We have social gatherings on every saturday which is a common platform for President till peon. In this programs any employee can participate and share his experience of critical problems he has faced and how it have been solved. Also Most of the time Senior VPs' share the stories of branch level problems solved by innovative engineers.
Hence this platform is used by everyone to share ideas and also get exposure to top mgt people and their views
