Sir, a cooperative housing society, in my opinion is just like a "shop", where economic activities are going on and as such can be covered under ESI Act, 1948 and rules/regulations framed thereunder. However, for any clarification or final decision in the matter, it will be more better if you may contact concerned ESIC authorities of the area where your unit is located.
