Dear All,
I am planning to make annual budget for employee engagement activities such as festive celebration, games, lunch, picnic etc. If anyone has any ideas or sample template then please share with us.
Thanks

Pl understand that Employee Engagement is totally different from engaging employees in some socio-cultural events. Employee engagement is an HR intervention strategy for enhancing the enthusiasm and feel for the job in the organisation. The activities mentioned are useful and could be used but the underlying theme is integration of employees into the organisation.

If your organisation has a problem with "employee engagement", then you need to investigate the reasons for that first.
Just thinking you can get the staff to play some games and have a party will solve all your ills is the height of stupidity. No amount of money will fix the problem if you don't solve the root cause.
I don't know about India, but around the world, most employees dislike these sorts of activities. Forced jollity doesn't work. I know in my own case, I always arranged to be sick on the days my employers decided to do these sorts of things under the guise of team building, interdepartmental co-operation etc. Many of my colleagues did also. Management soon learnt NOT to do it.

Employee Engagement and Fun activity are totally 2 different thing. Employee Engagement is a broad term. Many more organisations do this activity regularly!
You need to have clarity what you want to do. First of all you need to ask yourself why you ( you as an organisation ) want to do it? Thought clarity on paper will give
you more inputs and thus you will be in a position to take decision. Its not like management decided we want to do it and so we have done it without having any plan
and its implementation strategy it will sheer waste of time, money and what other things as well.
All the best!
