Hi, Expert
Under the Maharashtra Contract Labour Rules, 1971. I want to know:
1. Whether sub contractors are allowable under the said rules or not?
2. If yes, then in application for Amendment in Registration Certificate of Principal Employer we need to add main contractor's name or sub contractor's name or both? we have given Purchase Order to Main Contractor only. please clarify.
3. If main contractor having 10 employees & his subcontractor having 25 employees then who need to take Labour License (Main contractor or sub contractor) accordingly as a Principal Employer to whom we should give Form V? please clarify.
4. All the registers & records maintained under the above said rules shall be maintained under the banner of Main contractor or sub contractor? please clarify.
Thanks in advance and your prompt reply would be highly appreciate.
Warm Regards,
Sandesh
