Para 60 of the EPF scheme 1952 deals with interest.
By this amendment, sub para (6) is inserted in this para 60 which says that when an application for settlement of claim is received in respect of inoperative account and there is a delay for more than 30 days from the receipt of such application then interest is payable in the inoperative account. This interest is payable for delayed period beyond 30 days in accordance with sub para (2).
