My salary slip is plain paper without any signature or company stamp. Is it necessary that the salary slip should have a stamp & signature OR on a company letterhead How to confirm its genuine?

If you would like to use pay slip (which may be a computer generated one), it would be
better to get it signed by Accounts/Finance Manager or HR Manager, alongwith a stamp of
your company - which may be a bonafide document as a supporting, in case you would like to
apply for any loan or so. Many banks are asking for such document

Hi,

It is very common these days for companies to issue pay slip claiming it as 'computer generated' and hence does not require any signature. This is totally false. Unlike electronically transmitted documents, which can be traced and established, other documents which are printed out cannot be proved unless they are signed. The consequences of relying on such an unsigned document would be unsuccessful in the event of a dispute.

It depends upon the purpose for which it is used. Electronically generated payslips without signature thereon will be accepted but not as a proof of income from salaries. A pay slip on the letterhead is insisted for many other cases, where it is called Salary Certificate and not pay slip

It is mandatory to issue payslips with seal and signature or with digital signature. Any documents without seal and signature terms to be fake and have no legal value. The pretext of computer generated is a bogus plead. Because the computer generated slips come out with company logo with digital signatures. Therefore the establishment those who are issuing payslip in paper should sign and seals. The employee can sue the employer for the same before the appropriate authority.
