Hello All, I will be needing HR Experts advises on this .
I am a beginner or say a fresh person entered the HR Domain. As am from a technical background, i am facing difficulties to grow in this field . As the HR Manager's first question to me is WHY HR ?? Why didn't you just pursued your own line or why did you just wasted your money in B.TECH if you really wanted to be in HR.
And because of that i am not able to explore this field as it is coming with so many boundations for me as am not a Regular MBA person as well.
Yes, i am in this field it is because of my own interest areas i like being interacted with people , Coordinating things , Communicating with different kind of people and act to the situation is a good experience, excellent interpersonal skills, good friendly attitude, decision making skills etc. That is why i like been in this field . This is something i like to do. So is this field is not for me or i will be forced to follow a path that is out of my creative zone ??
So HR Peoples after reading this do give me some suggestions WHERE TO START FROM . From where i can gather good study stuff as well to enhance my knowledge as well.
Regards
Manisha

From your brief introduction, it appears you have been endowed with people skills and by now you may have picked up the HR Operations in your unit. Try to get fair idea of the company policy in various HR aspects. Then you focus on communication, listening skills, conceptual skills in HR like motivation, Human personality traits, counseling techniques, performance appraisal, problem solving methods, disciplinary action modules, labour laws, incentive & productivity, outsourcing skills etc and go to advanced skills like career planning, succession planning, directive and non-directive interview, performance counseling, approaches for increasing human efficiency etc etc
