Dear All, One of my past organisation had allotted same UAN to myself and another employee. This error was bought to their notice by me after I left the organization. I have approached them to resolve the issue and also contacted the Regional PF office. Looking to the matter, the RPFC office has issued a notice to the organization asking to submit a few details, However, to date, the organization has not responded at all.

I look forward to suggestions/guidance from you all as to what further actions can be taken.

Thank you in Advance !

Dear Poorna,

As rightly said by Mr. Bijay, It is not possible that one UAN is allotted to two different employees. It may be mistake from employer side.

Please try to find out your correct UAN by visiting

https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.g...C928412A5E0C16

This will help only if your mobile is linked with your actual UAN.

If UAN which you have is not yours, than chances are there that your contribution towards PF may get credited to other employee.

You have act fast on the subject.

Bijay, ND,

The OP has not bothered to respond to your replies, which is often the case, which makes me wonder if the post is authentic.

However, from an academic point of view, I think the matter is that the company has internally communicated the same UAN to 2 persons or has put the contribution of 2 people against the same UAN.

As you said, actually 2 employees having the same UAN is just impossible

Dear Benerjee,
(Sorry I am not able to judge your salutation.)

In one ECR only one UAN details can be uploaded, again it is not possible that two different employees having the same UAN can be uploaded in the same ECR.
As you have mentioned, may be through mistake company has communicated same UAN to two different employees.

Duplication of UAN is strictly handled on epf portal, so no employer can contribute for duplicate UANs. However it is possible that it is only a wrong communication from client end,
