Often it is considered as a hurdle in day to day operations.
Please go through the attached presentation.
If you remember floods im Mumbai on 26.07.2005, and fire on the same day off shore, it realizes the improtance of Mock Drill.

I am partially agreed with your words. I want to draw your attention. In construction industry/Plant Activities in india, I think few peoples those who aware about MOCKDRILL (Importance, Planning & How to condcut?). This is the reality of our industry.
I am agreed with your second point regarding Bombay High Accident, if peoples aware about mockdrill, the accident impact may be reduced. But if you expect you will totally reduce the accident severity through the mockdrill, it may be difficult.
In your First point, regarding mumbai flood on 26.07.2005. can you tell me not in india, every country is facing the problem like High Tides, Sunamis, Floods, earthquake etc. We don't have control on natural clamities, it's very difficult. We all known in our companies safety policies we mentioned mockdrills for all types of emergency. But I want to know, if any natural clamities/disasters happend, during that period how can we conduct mockdrill???
And also please don't forgot the Jaipur Depot Accident Case
I agreed, Mockdrill awareness is very important in every areas i.e, offices, construction works, plant operations, refiniries etc.
We have to make mockdrill plan according wroking criteria wise, and periodically we have to conduct the mockdrill on periodically basis.
We safety professionals should have to prepare the mockdrill planing, convienece to management, the conduct the mockdrill.
I would like to share my experience, I saw some of our safety departments peoples (Difference Companies) are not aware about the mockdrills and as well as management never asksed to conduct the mockdrill.
Why these thing happened, because due to negligence and not taking proper initiative.
It's only my personal opinion.
