I am a senior manager in a bedding company and in charge of human resource and marketing. This site has been a great resource tool for me and I commend all the persons who have taken the time to place their contribution.
I have learnt a lot here on human resource and it has helped me to be more effective manager
Have a great day everyone

Thanks very much for your kind sentiments Sonit and Avinash....In answer to your questions, Avinash :
1. does your job entail you to deal with international hrm? viz., handling of expatriates and the stuff? My job is more on the domestic front. I worked at a bedding company that is a manufacturer, distributor, retailer, exporter. the human resource is more on the domestic front.
2. could you also help me with the career path involved in intl. hrm and the prospects for an indian like me in that field? I can always exchange ideas as to what takes place in my country but I am no expert. I am more an expert in marketing. Human resource came as part of my new package and so I embrace the opportunity. However if you need any information on my country I can always assist you with that. We have many doctors from India posted here....quite recently your country has a tradeshow as they have been doing for the last seven years and it was quite successful. Your country and my country has very close business ties. However, I have not really heard many international hrm specialist here.... It might be a great idea to also talk to your country's rep for my country...I am sure they may know of opportunities faster than I would.
You can always pm me if you wish...although this is my second post... So you might have to write here until I can actually pm back...I think I need seven postings...or ten...not sure which...
But I will try to help as much as possible
Have a great day
