The procedures will not be available in the Act but for that you have to refer to the Rules of the Act. Like any law, the Contract labour (Regulation and Abolition) Central Rules 1970 shall contain procedures to be followed, the forms to be used etc in relation to appointment of contractor and engagement of contract labours. Rule 17 provides that for registering under the CLRA Act the (Principal) employer should apply in form 1. The form 1 shall contain particulars of Contractors, the activities in which the contract workers will be deployed (so as to know whether the establishment is violating the provision that no contract labour be engaged in work of perennial nature), maximum number of contract workers to be engaged on any day through each contractor etc. Rule 18 says that the Registration certificate shall be in Form 11. Form 11 (the RC) shall contain the names and addresses of the Contractors, maximum number of workers to be employed by each of them on any day, the nature of work etc.

Rules 18(4) also provides that if there any change required, the same shall be intimated to the Registrar within 30 days. Therefore, please go through the above Rules.
