Hi,

Pls dont take me wrong, but since you wanted to know the issues with your CV, here is a critical review of it -
  • Blunders of all - RESUME (never write on top Resume/CV or anything like that. It is supposed to be your Resume, don't title it)
  • Change ur career objective section. It gas grammatical errors. Pls ask a proof reader or few of ur frns to frame it for you...
  • You experience section - HR/Admin Exec.... Your Job Profile - HR Exec (do not match, pls write the same designation at both places, and write the one communicated to you on ur appointment letter)
  • Time period... From Jan 2012 to till now... (it sounds too basic. When you've written you have good communication skills, have it present here. Put your time period - Jan 2012 till present)
  • Job responsibilities: Pls give proper indentation or use a table facility for that instead. Pls use bullet points, no one has time to go through Essay
  • Your CV fail to mention any extra curricular activities and achievements.
  • No communication details (address / phone no / mail id, i don't know if this is the CV you forward, or you edited it coz you're posting it publicly but pls ensure you give your mail id & cell no atleast so that recruiter can reach you)

Pls find attached few modification that i've made to your CV based on the knowledge i hv abt u....

Hope it helped....

Dear Ankita,
I have one more doubt please clear it. The brand for which our company is producing products is different and the website is with the brand name of the company, so i am confused that should i mention in my resume company name or the brand name?

About titling your CV, Yes it is the most common mistake but if you read the Do's and DOnt's of CV writing, this is the 1st no-no. I myself had titled it as "Resume" and then "Curriculam Vitae" back when I was pursuing my graduation. Later I got to know the Do's and Dont's so restructured and removed the title... So it's not ur fault, it's a conception but better late than never :)

Co's Name & Website Name differs:

Happens very often. The company is registered by some name and is well known by its brand or service or website name.

In such case, you can put your website name (which sounds more familiar and identifiable) and put into brackets the company name by which it is registered.

Eg... Company's Name: XYZ (brand of PQR Co)

That way, if you've got your offer/apptmt letter from PQR Co, you show that you're not hiding.

Also see to it that your offer/apptmt letter bears name/has link to website to prove your point.

Hope it helped.
