HR & finance are very important in any organisation,,
They are parallel departments, that should work in tandem for smooth fucntioning of any organisation,,,,,
As HR person knowing Finance is good,,
Try out even HR & international Business

hii Deepti
Its up to you to decide the career options. you corelate your academic qualification with your profession. List out what are all the strong points
nweak points in urself.
as a HR person, i can suggest you to take up HRas major . which is right now booming in all corners. and it will continue. Because man power is more important and without it nothing can be moved.
Finally you have freedom to make decison on your career. best of luck

HI DEEPTHI,,,
m thinking of Taking HR and Finance as specializations..
IF u are a Bcom grad, then take HR and Finance as specializations, it will help u a lot, ur decision is correct, as while doing MBA u will finance part easy and hr if u find hard can devote more time to hr, but in the end after MBA u will be expert in both HR and finance, which will help u a lot,, just this yr i finished giving my PGDHRM exam final sem,, and today i dont even seem to remember anything abt accounts and costing, as I am also bcom grad,, and even got good score in bcom in accts and costing , but in two yrs as I was into learning HR i just left the touch of accts. So if u do finance and HR it will be helpful for u and u can get jobs in BANKS< KPO doing financial procesings < INSURANCE FIRMS..
Dont worry just take ur own decision..

Dear Deepti,
Take HR as Major and Finance asa minor. This combo certainly help you. If HR is backbone then finance is the heart of the organization. If both are strong organization culture, environment and profit will flying high in the sky.
So HR and Finance is a good Combination.
Thanks

Hi Deepthi,
What are the options available to you?
Why did you choose HR & Finance ?
Are you good/comfortable with numbers ?
Don't assume that Finance minor would make one expert in Finance!! :(
The future ahead depends upon the opportunities one gets and how one leverages the same irrespective of qualifications. I have seen people with finance background moving to HR and not vice versa  Take the example of Infosys HR Head Mr Mohan Pai ex-CFO.
Hence try to discover your areas of interests and develop expertise.
Best wishes,
Regards,
Rajat
