Employee Engagement shall not be confused with organising some sporadic events involving the employees. Employee Engagement is to be seen as a continuous process aimed to bring employee identification with the company, bringing an emotional connect and an intense yearning for the betterment of the organisation.
If you can give an approximate budget and the total no. of personnel involved, the allocated amount can be apportioned to various activities. Then these are only socialising activities and cannot be termed employee engagement

Budget depends upon the size of the organisation, number of people in the levels of organisation and what kinds of engagements you want to initiate. There are activities which can attract high monetary value and some may not cost much. Do not introduce everything at one go, as the human tenedency is to Dil Maangey More ! Be selective, mix tangible and intangible benefits, involve employees, their families, individual rewards, team rewards, meeting targets, goals, anniversaries, higher education, job related external training all come under employee engagement.
