Please share your guidance on the following concerns:-
1. One of our employee (non-ESI) met with an accident while on duty and cut his right thumb and has been advised bed rest for a month. While the company is taking care of medical expenditure. I need clarification in two areas:-
a)Absence from duty : As advised by the doctor, should 1 month be considered as part of the leaves accrue to him as per policy or special leave/ accident on duty leave can be granted and under which ACT such special leaves are mentioned ?

Act has not defined to provide any special leave to the employee met Accident by the the employer but its employer moral & ethical duty to provide Special Leave in case if Accident Occurs with an Employee & if employee needs to take leave.
