Dear member,
As per section 56 of ESI Act, 1948 the 'family member' of the insured person are also entitled for medical facilities alongwith insured person. The term 'family' has been defined u/s 2(11) of said Act, which also include 'dependant parents', whose income from all sources does not exceed such income as may be prescribed by the Central Government.
Central Govt. has fixed such limit of income as -Rs. five thousand in a month. (Kindly see Rule 61A of ESI (Central Rules, 1950).
In case of any doubt, the insured person can visit appropriate Branch Office of ESIC and discuss the matter.
