Hi,
There are only three categories in whole of Uttar Pradesh (UP) now namely Unskilled, Semi-skilled and Skilled. The catergories of Clerical - I and Clerical - II wasremoved in 2005. The minimum wages for the period October 1st 2007 till March 31st 2008 has not been declared yet, a GO is expected in this week only.
The last six months min. wages GO is enclosed for your reference.

Hi,
Have you heard of Payment of Wages Act, that said amendment has been made in this Act only, which is applicable in all public and private Organisations in India.
The Salary limit has been extended upto Rs. 10,000 from Rs. 6500 per month. The employee withdrawing a salary upto Rs. 10,000 may be covered under the purview of Payment of Wages Act. This Act talks about the date of disbursement of wages, time period, deductions from the wages,.
All disputes subjected to compensation are referred by this Act.
