My current salary is 23500/month(282000 ctc). 22750 in hand
PF Deduction per month 750
No other deductions from company.
But in this month salary they deducted 2000 rupee of TDS.
So my question is to you guys how much TDS is applicable on my salary, and how to reimburse it.
I also submitted my rent slips to company on monthly basis(5500 rupee/month), no other investments from my side.
Second:-- What can I do to save TDS?

Hi Amit,
According to your salary your yearly total income will be 282000 rs.
As per income tax free tax limit is 200000 Rs. yearly.
now your taxable income will be only 82000 rs. but PF deduction will be tax free and your total pf deduction is 9000 rs.
After adjustment of pf amount your taxable salary will be rs 73000.
you submitted HRA of Rs 66000 and now your total taxable income will be only Rs 7000.
According to your taxable income you have to pay only 10% of your taxable income @ 700 Rs. only.
But please check your salary slip, how much your employer paying you for HRA allowance. if it is less than Rs. 5500 then benefit will be consider according to same.
for more details ask your account department about the taxable breakup and you can submit some LIC policy etc if you have.
