Dear Anonymous
It is generally expected that a candidate should analyse the company which has called him/her for interview. Normally you can discreetly find out about the company from various sources in net, Company Law Board, its Balance sheets and profit and Loss accounts. Who their auditors are ... You can find employees reviews, exit interviews from glass door etc too. You can find out from your friends, you need to dig up connections to know the inside story.

Dear Narsimhan,
Greetings!!
Whatever you have briefed that is totally based on data available on secondary platform, but my concern is how a employer's mind set is beneficial for an individual's career.

Dear Anonyous,
Perceptions are important till such time one does not face or work with the employer. One can not fathom the the employer mind set otherwise . Even in big corporate bodies , Chairman will be people /HR friendly but the board members will have diverse views. So despite the mindset the actual delivery of dispensation to people will be less. If you watch Tata, Infosys, Cadburrys, and other similar organizations there HR policies are well defined and structured. The ethical policy is public. So is the whistle blower policy.Board in these companies are unison in their progressive views. If you analyse all these you can possibly have a view of organisations in comparison. Thus career graph in these companies are well crafted for vertical progression and ultimately one enjoys working for them.
Employer mindset by above organisations stand as examples and are largely beneficial to employees. But every organisation is not like them and there is varying degree difference. One need to understand by working in those organisation to know the culture and mindset etc. Or possibly getting feedback as I said in my previous post on this subject.

Dear Narsimhan,
Greetings!
The name of companies you have taken in your briefing these are top giant of their sector.
And in India, all 1.35 million people are not working only in these companies.
I am concern with the people, they are upto 55% of working population of India, those are being worked with many below small cap companies irrespective of listed or not listed. They are actually ruining the career and talent of the country. Just they got some money in ancestral property and started company.
How talent can be saved from them. Govt jobs are not available for all.
So, how their background verification can be done, that are really they good employer?

Dear Anonymous
I saw your feedback in handset , but not here . Anyways I need to conclude my views finally with reference to your concern expressed:
1You are close to being beyond rationality in the context of ecosystem in India and for that matter all over the globe possibly barring Scandinavian countries , but appreciate you are being ideal.
2.You can see the number of companies incorporated in addition to partnership, sole proprietorship concerns. Each human resource has its way to get into any of them . Whether they do due diligence on their own or bank upon published data or consultants from HR and other fields.
3 One can form opinion from outside agencies , published reports which are in public domain besides CARE, CRISIL etc for just to know their performance. Financial statements can lead one to have basic views.
4.Many companies besides the ones I have mentioned are good employers and on a scale of 0 to 10 I can rank them say at 6 and beyond upto 9
5. The employees or so called prospective youngsters should guard themselves and should be well informed.and take their decision . Another point is that here also class of manpower can be distributed in A, B, C .. categories . The top will go to the top because of merit and accordingly follows suit in the order to Top rung , middle rung or bottom layer. Based on the layer in which the company is one can make out.
6. Small companies , traders you just can not make out. If any one happens to chose that path is at his own peril. So they need to take informed decisions.
7.Thus background checks can be ascertained to reasonable accuracy based on my messages as aforesaid.
I Conclude here.
