1. Checking Material Inward and Outward
2. Making entries of material inward and outward
3. Daliy material consumption entries
4. Prepare and update stock sheet
5. Periodical stock checking
6.Issue material to production dept as per material request note recd
7.Maintain minimum stock level
This is just a indicative list.

Storekeeper's job is far more than receipt and issue of the material. He should know very well on what points audit of his stores takes place. You may refer the following link and then devise the Job Description accordingly:

In many cases storekeepers do not go beyond material reconciliation. However, this should not be the case.
