Hi, I would like to ask a question on salary hikes.
What if a person has left the job 4 month back & he got selected somewhere.
What should current employer do ?
Whether he should give him salary with hike or hire him with last salary.

It all depends on the company and the person who's desperateness matters, to get a job. There are organizations who hire people on break/sabbatical by giving a nominal/good hike on their last drawn salary.

It all depends on various factors.
1) whether the employee is a critical resource to the organisation.
2) whether he is a top performer
3) what is your assessment about his stay in the organisation in future - how long he was with you and how long he has been with previous employers
4) How you deal with the same situation after one year
Do some analysis, otherwise it is a risk .
