Dear Experts: In a school that runs under a Trust has overstaffing both in Teaching & Non-Teaching level due to this Covid-2019 Pandemic and the School is finding it difficult to allot work them. Hence, School Management is desirous of sorting out this issue in a cordial manner inclusive of separation of work. Please advise

1) What are the options available in handling this situation for the employees for whom we do not allocate work?
2) Whether such overstaffing be retrenched / Furloughed?
3) Whether the Management can allot them work in alternate day basis in order to pay them for the days only they engaged for work from the total wages payable?
4) Whether the Management can impose a Notice Period clause in a mass separation of about 15 to 20? such an event, if the employee refuse to accept it, what shall the management to act further.

Request expert's advice, please.
