Sir, I have been retired after completing 58 yrs of age and yet to receive retirement benefits such as Leave encashment, gratuity, of etc. Since EPF amount is exempt from income tax but it will be directly credited to individual account then for income tax purposes how I can prove that the amount received in my account is from EPF. In the same manner gratuity and leave encashment (final payment)
Pl. let me know what documents required for submission to income tax department and who will provide it.
Regards,

When you retire, various amounts will be credited to your pension a/c.
Or if you not in Govt sector, then to the designated bank a/c.
The company will give you a formal statement of a/cs like
PF statement and details of payment.
Your PF a/c may be maintained by EPFO and adequate details of breakdown of PF payment will be given
In case f any query from IT these dcouments will prove source of funds.
