Hi I am working as statutory Complience Consultant. I would like to know that whether ESIC Act 1948 applies to Apprentices or not? Is it necessary to Keep separate record of apprentices of ESIC like ESIC Register, ESIC Return etc.

If the apprentices are hired as per The Apprentices Act, 1961 and you are filing returns as per the Act, then they will not come under the perview of ESIC. If not it will be applicable for them also.
