Myself have been working as an HR&Admin for a telecom company, i want to know what is the appraisal period?
Do we appraise from the date of joining or from the date of confirmation?
Please give a clarification in detailed.

Dear Vishwanath,
It depends on the company policy that after how long duration of service they do appraisal. But yes it is confirmed that one will get appraisal only after his confirmation with the company.
And yes his performance will be appraised from the very first date of his Joining only and not from the date of confirmation.

Dear Vishwanath,
Regarding Appraisal period this is generally for a year (12 Monhts) but now a days many call centre's have come up with a shorter duration of appraisal period ie 6 months. Usually the period is from April to March or from Jan to Dec.
The Appraisal is done from the date of joining. Usually most of the organizations do not appraise the employee if the appraisal period is before his confirmation, accordingly as per terms during his appointment his appraisal is done at his confirmation or after a year.

ha it is depending up on the organization policy,
generally performance appraisals are calculate on the basis of
quarterly plan and half yearly plan
the appraisal calculate as hr person in the month of april we given to the
employees task asper their job profile.
in the month september we monitoring their tasks .
