Hi all,
I am working with a proprietorship firm and currently drawing an average salary of 35,000/- per month. No salary slip is provided to me and the payment is through cheque. So i am unable to locate the break-up of the salary. Please let me know how can i calculate my CTC if my take home is 35,000/- per month.

greetings !!!!
the CTC calculation can be done appropriately only when you know the salary breakup. ie as follows.
Basic : Proportion - ?
DA : ?
HRA : ?
Conveyance : ?
Medical : ?
etc.,
when you get to know all these... along the benifits that company gives you like health insurance or medical coverage and others you can figure out the Cost to company.

Break up of CTC vary from company to comapny. What i can tell you is a common componenets of CTC. it may help you a bit:
EARNINGS:
Basic Wages
HRA- House Rent Allowance
RCA/CCA- Rural Compensatory Allowance/ City Compensatory Allowance
DA- Dearness Allowance
TA- Travel Allowance
Grauity - this you will get once you leave the organization after working 5 continuous years. The amount which you will get will be 15 days basic of present salary slab multiply by no. working year .
e.g. - present monthly basic= Rs. 20000/-
no. of years worked = 10 years
amount of gratuity = 10000* 10= Rs. 100000/- (i.e. 15 days' salary* no. of years)
DEDUCTIONS-
PF- Provident FUnd
VPF- Voluntary Provident Fund (if any)
Accommodation-(if company is providing accommodation)
Meals
Advance- advance salary drawn
Loan- loan from the company
etc.
