Hi,

I believe recognition is the biggest motivation. So there are many 'employee recognition programs' run by a company like incentives, rewards, mention in newsletters, magazines, etc. But are they really fulfilling the purpose? Are deserving employees getting recognition for their nice work?

In my organization, there is less transparency about these programs. People get selected on what basis is beyond my comprehension.

What do you think about these programs and how well these programs are doing in your organization?

Hi Deepti,

I fully agree with you that recognition is the biggest motivation. Our company has different programs for employee recognition. Last month, my name also appeared in the monthly magazine of my office. That's a fair recognition for your work. :icon1:

In a time when most people only stay with a company for 3-5 years, I believe an employee recognition program based on one's years of service to be highly effective. Recognition in this manner not only demonstrates the company's appreciation towards its senior employees but also sets a good example for younger, less senior employees to aspire to. Individuals who have dedicated 5, 10, 15, or 20 years to a company truly deserve recognition and praise. After all, it is more cost-effective to retain a good employee than to continually hire and train new ones.
