Dear all,

Please refrain from posting repeated messages like the one from Mr. GVSHUKLA. Why waste the valuable time of members by sharing these types of topics? I already saw this a month ago. It is very bad!

If it is a repeat, just ignore it. Don’t make it an issue. Rajkumar says his eyes pained. Come on guys - don’t be so nasty. Rahmath.

Dear all, Could I kindly request you all to refrain from criticising bloggers in public, if a point has been raised once? Write a private message, if you so wish. Have a nice day. Simhan

Dear friends,

Instead of making a big hue and cry, just let it go. I have seen a number of volunteers who readily give opinions or ready-made solutions whenever anyone merely indicates a request. The issue is that too many of us are ready to help others without knowing their strengths and the real request, in our enthusiasm. The site is essentially to enrich knowledge and to at least kindle the habit of doing something original or improvising upon some genuine work.

As someone mentioned repeatedly, it is time for the moderators or someone responsible for the site to check the work of the bloggers if it is worth it. This suggestion may seem far-fetched, but at least it eliminates the poor and subpar content.

Dear Rangarajan,

I agree with you, especially on those points of yours which I quote hereunder:
"The site is essentially to enrich knowledge and to at least kindle the habit of doing something original or improvising upon some genuine work."
"As someone mentioned repeatedly, it is time for the moderators or someone responsible for the site to check the work of the bloggers to see if it is worth it. This suggestion may seem far-fetched, but at least it eliminates the poor and subpar content."
I hope someone is listening... or rather, reading.

Warm regards.

Dear All,

At any cost, don't criticize anyone when they're reposting because they may not be aware. Also, it will be helpful for newcomers. If you want, go and check the attachment; else, just skip it. So, don't make negative comments publicly as it may hurt the members.

Thank you.

Dear all,

Although I am a new member, I also have this PowerPoint presentation. However, I believe that we should not be too harsh when criticizing bloggers in public. Otherwise, new members may feel hesitant to share their views or presentations. Constructive criticism, given in good faith, should always be welcomed.

Thanks & Regards,

Dear members, don't come down on someone so heavily. It's extremely unfair! He has not committed a crime; the criticism is too harsh. Some of us hesitate to praise but are quick to criticize, and that too with such acidic comments. As HR community members, we have to exercise restraint, be dignified, mature, and serve as role models for others. Let's walk the talk!

Yes, dear,

One is not supposed to post anything that one finds anywhere on the net in his own name.

One is supposed to post responsibly, which means, as you say, "if you are too busy to do that," yet you have to find time to check the whole CiteHR before you post something. Or, postpone posting it and post it only after you have searched the site. There are search tools provided for this purpose.

See, there are two issues involved here:

If you are posting something original, created by you, then there is absolutely NO PROBLEM at all.

The problem comes when people post something which they have not created. It's considered plagiarism when people do not give credit or reference to the original and also amounts to infringement of copyright.

Secondly, members post these repeatedly. One can take the plea that one is disseminating information. But it is not justified nor legally valid. You must be aware of how street booksellers who sell "pirated copies" of books are prosecuted.

Hope I have not made you feel offended, but these are the facts. Please also see the Posting Guidelines on this site.

You are young, enthusiastic, as well as creative. I hope you come up with many new ideas of your own and post these on this site, which will be appreciated by everyone. Why repeat the same old material which may have been forwarded umpteen times to everyone.

Regards.
