If I am not mistaken, a stay-in interview is conducted to study and understand the factors that may result in an employee quitting the organization. It is the opposite of an exit interview. In an exit interview, the employee is asked about the reasons for leaving, and the feedback is collected and analyzed to understand why the employee is resigning. This process helps in controlling future attrition and improving the existing system. Stay-in interviews are conducted while the employee is still working with the company.

- Is the employee happy with the organization?
- What motivates him?
- Any training required for the employees?
- Any concerns and grievances of the employees, etc.

Hi, I don't have much idea but a stay interview is similar to an appraisal. An appraisal is in a written format, while a stay interview involves orally judging an employee about his performance. Therefore, the questionnaire is similar to an initial interview type.
