Hello Members,

How often have we felt that we have similar characters to that of an animal/celebrity/cartoon character? I have sometimes laughed at the way someone/something reacts the way I would or acts!

Here is something I'd compare a few of my qualities to:

Animal: Dolphin

They love moving around happily and easily get along with others... This is a part of what I am!

But sometimes - find it difficult to move out of my comfort space too :-(

Cartoon: Tweety!!!! My image says it!

I know how to have a puppy face and get things done ;-)

Celebrity:

Monica in the Friends series: It's good that she is concerned about things being organized...but sometimes too much of organization, and I miss the "important ones"!

I can get psyched out easily if I don't see things in place. Sometimes others feel I am obsessed with these silly things...but I love the way I am!!!

Also - a little bit of Phoebe - I love singing, but people around just appear to be making me feel happy. Deep in their heart, I know what they are saying! Stop it!

Now I was motivated to start this after reading about Prof: Dumbledore :-D

So members - how would you relate yourself?

I would also love critics to post their comments on how they actually see others - if that's fine with all of you!

Because this is not on Business Information, Motivation, or Change Management. :-) Not humor either - I was serious while comparing myself. Shaggy and Scooby? Ravi, don't tell about your favorite character! Sylvester suits you! Hey, have you seen Stuart Little... you are also somewhat similar to Snowbell :-) :-D

Reason: No matter what you do, post... you are still a lovable member of the citehr family. One cannot ignore you, yar!

Good one... it's interesting.

Animal:
I think I will go with a cow. It gives back to society in many ways, as I always want to and also do!

Cartoon:
I think I will go with Mickey Mouse. He thinks he is an intellectual person and does things professionally. Not always, but I do it most of the time. He also tries to impress his love "Minnie." I will also, but still didn't find one.

Celebrity:
I relate to Raghu of MTV Roadies. I love the way he communicates. He is an expert in transactional analysis and emotional intelligence. Most of the time, I could relate to him with my thoughts. One day I will have the command of communication like him. Now no comments, please. These were extempore thoughts. Had fun writing it. Thanks, Asha.

The comparison with animals, celebrities, and cartoon characters will also help to extract the hidden strengths or weaknesses, I feel...

Animal: The Deer, very agile, innocent, lovely, active, and keeps moving fast and fast... I think so...

Cartoon: Jerry, my physique suits the same... ha ha ha... and as said above, very active like Jerry and know how to act and handle with time... Hmmmm...

Celebrity: Not exactly anyone, really, I swear... But I can say I'm a dreamer, a big dreamer... I believe in words like "Dare to dream, and to be careful to achieve it."

Thanks, Asha Madam, for this nice posting...

Cheers! ! !

Thank you, Shamnath - you are correct, it helps us understand the hidden strengths and weaknesses! I am looking forward to more responses!

Let me try...hmmmmmm

Animal: Undoubtedly, a snake. Because unless you disturb me, I'll never come in your way. But once you hurt me, only God can save you.

Cartoon: It's Mowgli (remember Jungle Book). Just because, being a human, the way he adjusted in the Jungle and, of course, the love and affection he showed to the other animals. I can also go to the extreme to protect my near and dear ones.

Celebrity: I'm a very strong person, so it may be Kamlesh (Dance India Dance). He may not be a celebrity for others, but for me, he is a true hero. If you asked to go with a character, then it'll be Simran of Astitva - Ek Prem Kahani.

Hi Ash, how are you?

I like your avatar the most because I know you must be like Tweety - very kind and sweet. The same goes for K. Ravi; Sylvester suits him. Another cartoon character that comes to my mind is Road Runner, which suits both of you guys. And of course, as Mr. Shamnath said, these characters really help to extract hidden strengths and weaknesses.

In the case of mobile ringtones, some people choose songs - devotional, love songs, poems - and some people keep it as it is. It reflects their thoughts and feelings somehow.

There's a lot more to say, but if I keep writing, everyone will get bored. Have a nice day.

Animal: - squirrel, quick, smart, active as I am at my work.

Cartoon Character: - As my profile image, the Powerpuff Girl itself, I believe in helping others and motivating others in the best possible way.

Celebrity: - Sweety Malhotra (HUM PAANCH)...

Please no comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Prashant,

Thank you, Asha, for such an innovative thread posting. I never thought of myself in this way, and I am enjoying doing it.

Animal: I relate myself to a Bull. Carefree, robust, very calm, and cool until provoked.

Cartoon Character: Popeye. Fearless, problem solver, wise, and romantic.

Celebrity: Sachin Tendulkar. Committed, clean, serious performer. I really enjoyed revisiting myself.

Hi Ash,

It's fantastic! If it comes to me, I would say I don't have much to express. In animals, I would compare myself to a dog, who stays honest, loving, and caring to their loved ones. I perceive that it resembles me a lot.

In a celebrity's character, I find myself similar to Amrita Rao in "Ishq Vishk", who gives importance to values, relationships, and keeps on helping others. But yes, sometimes I get disappointed too.

As for cartoons, somehow I cannot comment much.

Hi,

I am thoroughly enjoying reading it.

About me...

Animal: I think a cat suits me the best. I have cat-like eyes, light brown. My friends say I am also similar to a cat because a cat is very quiet, but still, people are not that comfortable approaching it. The same is the case with me at times. Yes, I must admit I am clever like people say about cats. I feel one needs to be clever. What do you say?

Cartoon Character: I can say Uncle Scrooge (Duck Tales) if you all remember. I too love to take care of my young ones.

Celebrity: I don't really relate myself to anyone in particular, but I am very, very fun-loving and laugh a lot. Please suggest whom I can relate myself to???

Hmm, I am thinking, and there I go. Gemini has two sides. Being a Gemini, let me give two choices:

Animal/Bird: Dove (Loving) / Wolf (Sometimes)

Cartoon: Jerry (Naughty) / Dora (Systematic & adventurous)

Celebrity: Nadhiya (Fun-loving) / Baazigar's Kajol (Only)

That's me.

Thank you, Asha, for making me do this SWOT analysis.

Dear Friends,

Hope I am not too late to add in. Rightly said by all of you that comparing oneself does give you a lot to think and analyze that, "Hey! I am like this," seems a better and fun way of self-realization.

The animal would be a CAT: quick and inquisitive, and can easily get along to get things, dangerous at times.

Cartoon Character would be Dash (from Incredibles - animated movie): super fast and super confident.

Celebrity (God, this is a tough one!) would be Johnny Depp - cool and suave, loves to maneuver things around with ease and takes things in stride.

Thanks Asha for bringing in humor with self-evaluation.

Regards,
Vinesh

Let me try it too, Ash.

ANIMAL:
I am like a DOLPHIN; I never harm anyone and I like to make friends as many as I can and to build good relations with them throughout my life. I feel happy to see others happy.

CARTOON:
My favorite cartoon has always been ALADDIN. I can relate my nature to that of JASMINE's. She is very down to earth despite being a Princess. She is helpful to people around her just like me and sometimes short-tempered. But she has the coolest guy, i.e., Aladdin. I don't have one.

CELEBRITY:
I am similar to GEET's character in the movie JAB WE MET. I think for the moment, have no long-term goals, am childish, keep motivating others, and am not so punctual, always about to miss my train.

Thanks, yaar Asha. You know I am feeling too good after analyzing myself with these 3 things.

Well, tough exercise though.

Animal: I compare myself with a dog (weird, isn't it?). I can judge whether what a person says is true or just a portrayal. Secondly, I don't forget a person once I've met them in life, and lastly, I trust those who are very close to me.

Cartoon: I compare myself with a mouse in Ratatouille. I am quite enthusiastic about my work, I can play around with my work and make things happen. I don't dwell on the result when presenting my work to authorities because I know the effort I've put in.

Celebrity: I compare myself with Jason Statham. The reason is, like him, I can make quick decisions and execute them swiftly. I am a skilled bike rider and a proficient car handler. I can do anything to survive and protect my work. I am very dedicated, like him, in completing the tasks given to me.

That's all about me. Not as exciting as you guys out there.

Hi Ash,

In my previous post, I didn't relate myself to any character. Let me try it too.

ANIMAL - cats. Because they are sweet, very naughty, and the big thing is that they are very clever. I can compare myself with a cat as almost all qualities match with cats.

CARTOON - I'm a bit confused as there are so many of them, but I like Genie the most in ALADDIN as he's very helpful, enthusiastic, and funny. I like to help my friends, make lots of friends, and I'm kind of funny.

CELEBRITY - Obviously, Shah Rukh Khan. Very hardworking, an inspiration to so many. I always wanted to be like him, not in looks, but in being hardworking, self-made, and helpful.

Hardeep.

Dear Asha,
It’s an innovative and funny way to describe ourselves. I find it very interesting how members are comparing themselves with animal, cartoon and celeb. as far as my profile goes i can compare myself to
Animal - A squirrel coz it always active always tries to find the way out and responds very quickly.
Cartoon - Shrek i always loved the most uncanny cartoon hero ever. For his histrionics a normal human being with a very sober and ethical behavioral attitude.
Celeb - Sourav Ganguly a person who helps me on how to make a comeback once ur down. His leadership qualities really inspire a lot and the change and man management of his is above everything else.
I thank Asha once again for this very innovative initiative.

Hi Ash,

How do you feel about being an overnight famous and popular figure on Cite HR? 😄 Good thread! Keep it up. 👍

Well, friends, you will enjoy this link too, playing with your friends on your personality and how your circle of associates see you... 💡 [Interactive Johari Window - take the test online](http://kevan.org/johari)

I hope all are clear about the Johari window concepts, and using it is really interesting.

Hi Geeta,

This idea just popped up while I was reading another thread where a comparison of TV celebrities took place. I enjoyed it, thought why not everyone enjoy it. :-)
And the best part is - it's not me, it's everyone else who has felt "popular" by trying to analyze themselves!
Thanks, and why don't you post something about yourself? :-) We will surely love to read that.

Animal: Of course, Dog (Doberman Pinscher and the German Shepherd) because men are like a dog only, girls said. Actually, I love dogs; they are always loyal like myself, very choosy in relationships like me, always keeping relationships very strong, and man's best friend always. I can mix with anyone like a dog and can ignore anyone in the same way as dogs do.

Alvin (the Chipmunk) & Ravi cartoon cite HR: having guts to do anything like Alvin, funny, and sometimes like Ravi cartoon on cite HR. But yes, I really don't like to act like a cartoon, hahahaha.

Celebrity: I don't like to compare myself with anyone ever.

See, no one will get a gold medal to become famous here. Okay, citehr.com is not paying any salary to us.

So, enjoy the thread. It's a good thread to know ourselves. That's all I want to say.

Hey, come on guys! 😕 I am not really out here to upset anyone or myself either... 😛 It was a very casual remark. 😊

Why? Because I get to hear all the time from my friends, and I take it positively and say "it feels good" 😄 I was hoping for that kind of response... 😊 Someday I will share with you the Google search to get to me. That is assuming I keep at it 😄 Till then, bye... Just forget it. I will be more serious; it is better to be formal than be casual, even in virtual HR forums 😄 Thanks, Geeta

Dear Geeta,

No harsh thoughts, dear. In fact, I knew what you were trying to say. Instead of saying, "Thanks Asha, that was good," you put it around in a different manner. I would not have commented, but I felt that I needed to interfere at this point and clear things.

Abhi and Shine, Geeta meant it in a positive way and just thought of letting us know that this was one of the interesting posts. Geeta, still waiting for you to post how you'd relate yourself!

Thank you.

Well, Asha,

To tell you the truth, these are things I used to do sometime back when it really amused me. Tests like MBTI, TA, or Johari window, and many more, for myself and for others as well. But nowadays, I am somewhat not interested. Maybe I have grown beyond it. Excuse me for that.

That is the reason I took it on a lighter note and asked about your feelings, because it didn't really matter much about self or others. But in this world, when you wake up one fine morning and suddenly see so many emails flooding your mailbox with applause and appreciation, it really feels good! It didn't matter much about the thread, but yes, having so much fan following and attention... I hope you get my point.

Again, I reiterate, this is my personal opinion.

Thanks,
Geeta

Feels good. Really good to know that others find it good too. But again, whatever I have been doing now has its own success or failure rate, depending upon others' involvement in contributing. So... I'd rather see it as "Hey, can you join this and say something about yourself? So that others may see and feel nice to do this task themselves." It's purely in the mind of the reader.

Trust me - fan and attention are not for Ash Mathew. It's for the comments that others have posted. Some see this as a great exercise, a few see this as interesting to read others' opinions on self, while a couple see what attention the generator has gained. Take care!

Hi Ash,

Thank you very much for the wonderful and innovative idea. It's a recreation in our busy work schedule. For me, it would be...

Animal: Lion... why? They are the rulers of their domain. Lions are motivated by their desire to make things fair, just, and right. Lions are people of action and keen intellect. They are not afraid of hard work and will take on any challenge to meet their goals. Lions love to compete and they usually win when they play.

Cartoon: Jasmine from Aladdin because she is independent, strong-willed, and brave.

Celebrity: Rachel Green from Friends because she is fashionable, pretty, and an amazing friend. You have always been very popular and don't have trouble getting friends, just like me.

Hi Asha,

Great post. Let me think about my comparison:

Animal:
- Dolphin for making friends, very casual, love to move happily
- Puppy for I love pampering from my beloved ones
- Elephant for my memory and weight (Of course)

Cartoon:
- Tweety for looking innocent but finishing all chores
- Donald Duck sometimes crazy, sometimes cranky, would love to talk more

Celebrity:
- Meera Kumar (1st woman speaker in India): I am like her, would love to be first in completing/competing for everything.

Animal:

Snake, for 3 reasons:

1) Whatever I do, I do it with almost stealth. (Snakes do not make noise while attacking.)
2) Whenever I do something, I do it with full force. (A snake attacks with its full force.)
3) I am different from others in my work. (Snakes do not resemble any other creatures, nor does a snake bite resemble the bite of any other animal.)

Cartoon:

It has to be Batman (Dark Knight). As the character Batman has no superpowers, all the skills he has are due to proper discipline and training. To avenge the death of his parents, he has undying motivation inside him that can never be fulfilled. If we incorporate proper discipline and continuous training among ourselves, we will be a force to reckon with. I have not been gifted, but everything I have learned today is on my own.

Celebrity:

Shah Rukh Khan.

I am not an ardent fan of Shah Rukh Khan, not for his charisma but for his passion in finding love. He was on the streets for 15 days, sold everything he had only to find his love, Gauri. After 3 months, he found her. That is true love, and I would like to have the same amount of love for all my friends and family.

Hey all seniors,

Very much interested in this thread. Thanks, Ash.

Animal: Cats and Puppy. I want to be like them - innocent, very transparent, loyal, lovable, caring towards their boss.

Cartoon: Scooby. Sometimes, I am like a foolish joker, but I have brilliant thoughts as my experience shows. I enjoy fun and entertainment. I am a humorous character in my life and an indispensable companion to my family and friends circle.

Celebrity: Somewhat like Mahatma Gandhi, I have extreme patience. I am never out of control, maintaining patience in all crucial situations which has been advantageous. Sometimes, even without taking direct action in critical circumstances, things automatically settle down. I provide a calm atmosphere.
