Hi everyone,

Hyderabad created History being the Largest group of CiteHR members joining together at one place.

I am happy to share that our CiteHR Hyderabad Forum "Hyderabad HR Hungama" held on 10th Sep’06 between 2.30 to 7pm went on very well and a runaway Hit!!!.

The highlights are:

- Total number of participants: 42

- Due to overwhelming response, we had to change the venue to a bigger one only before night but members cooperated very well

- Entire event went on schedule as per our agenda.

- One-on-one introduction itself took around 90 minutes.

- Majority of the people are from IT Industry, apart from Pharma and Service Industry.

- 3/4 Very senior people also joined. We look forward for their continuous guidance and support. Their experience will be utilisted in the forthcoming meets, to get some insight.

- All the members participated very actively in the Games been played finally reaching a very serious HR discussion.

- All the members followed the guidelines we have given very professionally.

- Thanks Anita for anchoring the entire event very well.

- All the Volunteers have done outstanding job in making the event success.

I definitely feel sorry for the people who could not make it to attend the meet. They missed a great opportunity. However, all those members are requested to join next meet, which will be announced shortly.

Will send a detailed mail along with snaps very soon.

Thanks everyone to make this event happen. This is only the first step…we need to achieve a lot and make this group grow further.

Hyderabad has created a bench-mark, and I am really curious to see which city breaks the record.

Thank you CiteHR for giving us this opportunity.

Prabhakar Ch on behalf of entire Organizing Committee

Guys,

Remember! As 9/11 remains the most important date in the history of the US, 9/10 will remain the most important date in any CiteHR meet. This is because 42 members of CiteHR met on 9/10, which is also the longest (in duration) meeting ever held by any CiteHR forum.

Dear all,

HR professionals from different organizations in Hyderabad made history by organizing a Cite HR Members Meet. Thanks to Prabhakar and the volunteers who made this possible.

One of the themes for this forum is to develop a platform where HR people at junior/middle/senior levels in the industry interact closely, present their ideas, and share their knowledge without any inhibitions, egos, superiority complexes, and all those so-called negative attitudes.

All like-minded people, especially the CITE HR members from Hyderabad who have a passion to share their knowledge and further advance this forum for the benefit of HR respect, are cordially invited to the next meeting scheduled for the second Sunday, the 8th of October 2006. It's truly an amazing event. I look forward to seeing and interacting with many more HR professionals on the 8th of October 2006 between 2 PM and 5 PM.

Dear all,

Yes, it is indeed a great move by all HR professionals (in particular). I hope the same support and coordination continue until the next meeting and successfully until the end. I hope this information reaches all top MNC HR professionals as well, through Yahoo groups or other means, so that we can have a well-rounded gathering covering all levels of the hierarchy.

Thank you once again to everyone for making the event a grand success.

Really great job done! I am really impressed with the way the meet was organized - the volunteers deserve a big round of applause.

CiteHR's goal is to promote the vision of a better organization through properly formulated HR policies and good company ethics. HR plays an important role in deciding how an employee feels about his work environment - improve that, and we have more productivity, happier employees, and better companies. We hope that in the future we will be able to make the lives of employees in different organizations much better through the promotion of ethical and good practices, and the offline meets will go a long way in doing that.

My thanks to everyone who worked to make this meet possible - it's a fantastic start. I am going to form a committee of volunteers to give them some authority to organize these meets and also play a more important role in the development and administration of the forum.

One of the key areas is the identification of knowledgeable members and awarding them proper ranks - Archana had brought this issue forward, and I think she is right in saying that we need a more streamlined way of approaching this - so that no valuable contribution is missed.

Warm regards,

CHR

Dear All Cite HR Hyderabad members,

I am really thrilled to read the feedback on our HR Hungama, which was well-organized and well-received by the members. Members are surprised to find so many professionals joining hands for the occasion despite it being the first such gathering. As Prabhakar has rightly said, we have set a benchmark for others to emulate our learnings. It is suggested that the learnings from the discussions we had be shared on Cite so that others can also follow them in a better manner. My congratulations to all members, and I look forward to seeing everyone at the next meet. It is heartening to note that Cite admin is making an important decision to empower the volunteers, which is a welcoming gesture.

My suggestion to other Cite HR members planning to organize such events in their cities is to keep the meet agenda very informal initially and focus on bringing more people together as, at this stage, gathering is more important than other issues. Let's avoid any idea of having an edge over other forums or members, as this is not a healthy trend in knowledge sharing. I hope you all understand my message.

There are some names missed in the list. Participants are around 43, and the names you mentioned are 37. 😉 Isn't it better to have a list with details like name, company working for, role, and contact number? 😃

Many thanks for the efforts put in by Prabhakar, Kiran, Anitha, and every participant.

Hi,

I just joined this forum today and I had gone through some of the posts. I felt the need to express that this is an amazing idea given by you guys, especially Prabhakar C! (Good job!!!!) Adding value to this, I felt the urge to leave some comments. I can say that it should not only be a meeting in one place but it should also include sharing views, opinions, presentations, and various topics related to HR processes and enhancements.

I do understand that this is the first meeting, so it will definitely be an introductory one. Prabhakar, I feel that you can take the initiative again for this, searching for a good topic for every meeting along with other recreational activities, where people can share their ideas in their own way.

Dear All,

It was great to learn how successful Hyderabad members have been in making their Hungama!

I especially enjoyed the posts by prabhakarch, penmetsa (Ravindra), srinivaskrmk, satya vegi, and of course CHR! I think you have made some very valid points, and our own meets should learn from these.

We have just concluded our own DRISHTI at Mumbai, though on a much smaller scale, but just as intense, I hope! Do log into our report.

I also append an extract from my post to Archna at Delhi:

"What I'd really like to see in the days to come would be a joint meet of all those who have set the ball rolling in their respective cities - Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai (and others too, in other cities) - bonding together in this way would make all of us more effective and productive!"

Perhaps we can start a new site where all reports, photos, and ongoing meets and discussions in all cities can be posted so that all those who are really interested in what is happening all around the country could share the momentum and keep it going! CHR Board Moderator, can you please help?

This site should be restricted to contributions from the members actually organizing the sites. If any other members wish to contribute, they might first contact their own city organizers, who would then forward their contributions to the all-India site.

Would welcome your comments and suggestions!

I was going through the dialogues at the Bangalore meet and came across some very distressing views. I wrote to the Bangaloreans as follows:

"Dear Bangaloreans, I am certainly glad to read of your first meeting and what you achieved. However, I was a little dismayed to read the very negative and aggressive dialogues later. Look, we are all equal members of CiteHR, and the success of each meet, wherever it may be, only reinforces this. No one is better than another - we are only different - and it is the differences that add spice to the mixture! Hyderabadis who were involved in the above, please also note! Please read the posts I have made in DRISHTI - the Mumbai meet - I hope you will support all the suggestions made... with your support, we will make CiteHR a community to be proud of! All the best, Jeroo"

I hope only positive vibes make it past all rivalry! I am sure you too will respond positively! All the best to you too, Jeroo
