Hi friends,

I'm a new member of Cite HR. I would like to know how an Interview Assessment Form should ideally be prepared for a company. I am currently in my first year of MBA. This is part of my summer project in a company. I hope to get some information from you all.

Thanks,

Interview rating forms differ from company to company. You must understand what competencies or characteristics you are looking for in a candidate. For example:

1. Appearance & Presentation
2. Communication
3. Maturity
4. Education
5. Level of Professional Knowledge
6. Academics
7. Extracurricular Activities
8. Reasons for Planning for a Change
9. Industry Knowledge
10. Knowledge about the company
11. Past Experience

I believe these characteristics would suffice for any preliminary level of interview. If you can gather all this information from the candidate, I believe you can make a reasonable judgment.

It is important to know the competencies of the position. There are a lot of Assessment Forms nowadays, but the most useful and appropriate one is a competency-based assessment. Quite busy but would be glad to give you more inputs soon. =)

It is rightly said that assessment sheets differ from company to company and are better when competency-focused. Even our CHR posted a format of the interview assessment sheet; you should check that too, as it will guide you much better.

I am also an MBA student currently in my summer training and would like to help you. I will send you a sample of the interview assessment sheet which I prepared here in the company under the guidance of my Personnel Manager. Please send me your email ID.
