Hello,
I just want to know whether it's good to pursue an MS in HR from the USA or should I go for an MBA in HR. Can someone please provide me with a list of colleges that offer these courses? I will be thankful. :)
It is better if you provide me with more details about this course, as I'm not able to find much information regarding the same. :(

Hi Kenita,
It's nice to see someone who wants to pursue an MBA/MS in HR in the US.
First of all, for either of the courses, you need to have at least 16 years of education (10+2+4). If you are planning to go for an MS, you need to take the GRE exams, and for an MBA, you need to take the GMAT exam. Also, for an MBA, a minimum of 2 years of work experience at an executive level is a must.
For a list of colleges offering the course, please email me at nikkyblue@gmail.com.

Dear Kenita,
There are very few universities/business schools that offer an MS in HRM in America. Most of them provide an MBA, and the duration is for two years. It's better if you go for an MS if you don't have any plans to return to India for at least 3-5 years after graduating because an MS degree is not as popular in corporates without experience. Kindly check out the websites of the top 20 business schools in the USA. You can find them at the following websites:
- mba.com
- ft.com
- mbaprograms.org/mbaprograms/usa
I would kindly ask you to pursue your Master's degree only from the top 20 colleges in America; otherwise, it is nothing but a waste of your time and money. I wish you all the best.

Hi Prabhu/Nikky,
I have completed my MBA in Human Resources at a university in India. I want to pursue a specialization course in either "Organizational Development & Change," "Competencies," or "PMDP," etc.
I have 2 years of work experience in the generalist role of HR in a reputed organization. Could you please provide me with some information and advice?
Thank you for your time.

Hi,
I wonder if any of you could also advise me. I have a degree in International Business Management and would like to further my education in HR. I have less than a year's work experience and feel the need to know more to practice HR. What would you recommend, a higher diploma in HR, MBA in HR, or MSc in HR? I want to work at the managerial level...
