Folks,
I would like to know what things should go into the formulation of the HR Manual. I am not referring to the Employee Manual here. The HR Manual will cover information that should be relevant only to the HR Department and the management.
Could somebody give a few points that should go into this??
Thanks,

Hi Deepa,
I think the HR manual contains information about all the contents related to an HR's job. This includes information on how to keep records of important documents of the company, properly maintain all registers such as salary register, EPF register, ESI register, employee training register, and others, as well as their deadline dates. The HR manual also contains the policies and procedures to be followed and already being followed within the organization. This helps in understanding how the HR policies of the company or the organization are currently being implemented and the correct way to apply them within the organization to ensure that all work is being carried out correctly and up to the expectations.
We can say that it's all about containing information right from the "employee's attendance register to the important minutes of meetings held in the organization."

Dear Binu,
Excellent link, I should say. Thank you so much.
I have also posted another thread today requesting help regarding "Goal Setting." If you could suggest some links for this as well, it would be great.
Cheers,

Hi Binu,
Very useful one. Thank you so much.
Hi Prathima,
Thanks for the inputs. But I do think that there are a lot of other topics covered in this section called "HR Manual". They cover everything from "Front office executive" to "Housekeeping" :) At least, the samples I have seen say so.
Thanks anyway; there were a couple of headings that are new here.
