Hi, I want to know the scope of SAP HR as there are not too many companies presently implementing it fully or partially. Do you think it is worth going for certification as there are huge costs incurred? Thanking you in anticipation.

Hi Chaitanya,
I don't think in this present-day boom of IT's & BPO's, companies would much think about the cost. Nowadays, companies are focusing more on streamlining the business processes with different ERPs. So it would definitely be an advantage to the present and future SAP learners. This is my end state of feeling. I welcome any comments if required on this.

Hi Chaithanya,
According to my knowledge, I don't think there is any scope for SAP HR as a fresher. You will implement SAP in companies after 2-3 years of experience. Many of my friends have done SAP HR, but they did not get a job in SAP. In the end, they joined as recruiters. SAP will be useful after gaining experience.

Shilpa, it's good that you have a different point of view. I guess we were also talking about companies implementing SAP. Experience is something that any company demands for every position nowadays. Yes, it is mandatory that companies recruit only experienced persons for SAP. I think that is where the logic lies for any position.

Dear Chaitanya,
As per my knowledge, it's really good to learn in all aspects of SAP-HR. However, what I feel is that having a minimum of 3-5 years of functional experience and then learning SAP-HR is a good decision. This way, you will be able to implement and understand the procedures of the functional areas and easily excel in your career.

Hi all,
According to me, it is not mandatory for everyone, but having knowledge and experience in SAP indeed carries some weight in your career. There is no doubt that in today's business landscape, which is diversifying across various sectors, there is an increasing demand for SAP expertise.
Therefore, do not consider pursuing this specialization right away. Instead, gain a few years of experience and then move towards specializing in SAP. This way, you will become a specialized professional in the field.

Hi, this is Arvind. I actually disagree with the statements regarding SAP-HR experience because even with 3-6 years of experience, people find it difficult to get a job in SAP. So, never blame experience. Yes, it is an extra advantage for people who are not the best in the way the very best are. But if one does not get a job as a fresher, never blame experience. It means you are not the best. Try being the best or search for a company that thinks you are the best.
