Hello,
I am posting a PPT on Blue Ocean Strategy. I hope it is useful to all. As usual, people are required to shamelessly download all files without rating or comments. Be discourteous and rude; no one will ever know. Keep downloading.
Thank you,
Octavious

Thank you, sir.
When I agree with your views, from a person of your caliber, I did not expect these words. Let us do our good work without expecting any comments or good words. We know how wonderful you are. So please refrain from using these words in the future. Let us not jump to conclusions.

Hello Peer,
You are wrong. I have not written the above statement to receive praise, but to show how many people here truly care about the efforts of others. I have stated the above statement in most of my recent posts. The need was to demonstrate how we, as HR professionals, often forget to respect others and their efforts.
Only maybe five or eight people have commented on my post; the rest have shamelessly downloaded without acknowledgment. In short, I have been able to prove that many in HR have not grasped the essence of the work they perform.
All I wish to do is make people think, not insult, discourage, or seek self-praise. Believe me, I enjoy giving, and when I give, I rarely expect anything in return. However, with just a small word of encouragement, many can perform wonders. Unfortunately, we often forget to provide that.
Thank you,
Octavious

Hello,
Thank you for your support and comments. I understand your concern as well, Mr. Shanker. I understand what you mean through your "BUT"...
I understand that I may come across as very negative in the above statement made by me, but sometimes negative marketing is the best marketing. I hope the objective gets served, but not without the help of the members herein.
Thank you,

Dear Octavious,
Even I understand your feelings, but I would like to comment on the same. As you can see on this Citehr, there are more than a thousand people viewing this forum. If each one of them starts to say thank you for each download, what will happen to all this information? Instead of providing information, they will have to just keep on saying thank you to all those people who are contributing for others. So, sooner or later, this site will run out of its capacity.

Hello,
I wish things were that easy, but I don't think so.
Because, in most of the comments above, all have explained the reason as to why not to say thank you, but a simple thanks or rating (other than Swati...).
I am not saying that the members above have not shown their gratitude. Of course, no doubt they have. But they have also stated certain reasons. What I am trying to say is, I can't, with a single thought line, idea, influence many. But I may cause people to think, and that's the only purpose of the comments along with the post. If you see the views & downloads in comparison with the comments, you will understand what I am trying to convey to you.
All I asked was to develop a simple habit of gratitude and nothing more. Even ratings will do if not comments. All I was trying to explain was the importance of acknowledgment of efforts and gratitude. I have no qualms about views, comments, and ratings on/of my postings, for I am doing something out of choice and not for anything else. And I am happy with what I am doing.
So I hope I have clarified your doubt about my ideas, and your concern about the lack of virtual space, i.e., if all show their gratitude.
Thank you,
Octavious

Hello Sir,
It was a great post as usual. I am still in the learning phase so I'll take some time to digest the facts mentioned. Thanks for sharing.
However, I would like to ask whether Blue Ocean Strategy, being a marketing issue, has any relevance to HR? Or rather, how can Blue Ocean Strategy align with HR?
Regards,
Shriya Karve.

Hello,
Yes, it has relevance. HR is bound to impress the internal customers/consumers on behalf of the management. I mean that HR has to do strong internal marketing with the employees of the organization on behalf of the company/management, so as to create a pleasant and amicable working environment. A prime example is the BPO in Mumbai formerly known as E-Serve.
I hope, Shriya, I have been able to solve your doubt with the limited knowledge I have, as I too am in the learning stage and always will be in the learning stage.
Thank you,
Octavious
