I am a professor in a government-aided college in Mumbai. I have dedicated 27 years of service without a break. I am considering taking VRS and would appreciate guidance on the procedures and rules applicable to VRS for government-aided colleges affiliated with Mumbai University. My queries are as follows:
a. Can any leave be availed during the 3-month notice period?
b. Is the service pensionable, and how will the pension be calculated?
c. If I provide notice on 01/03/10 for a 3-month period ending on 31/05/10, will it be valid? Additionally, will I receive a salary for the month of May, which is typically a vacation period?
d. Is it possible for me to obtain a copy of the scheme applicable to employees/staff of Mumbai University?
I am looking forward to a prompt reply.

Dear sir,
My wife is working at Jesus Calls organization. They announced a Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) and began collecting applications on April 1, 2012, with the deadline set for April 30, 2012. It has now been almost four months since the application period ended, and there has been no action taken yet. We are eager to move forward, so please inform us how much longer they may take to reach a conclusion. Additionally, it seems they are slowly terminating individuals who have applied. Please advise on what steps we should take.
Thank you,
Goldson
